Being a Norwegian, I should probably refrain from posting a comment on this matter, but I'll run the risk of being told to stick to matters closer to home.
It appears to me though, that something drastic must be done in order to move away from the obvious plutocracy prevailing in the US of A, but which a majority among the US voter seem to think and believe is a democracy. And to achieve this, a good start would probably be, to demand that no person will be allowed to cast their vote for any politician at all, unless they have read what Max Weber wrote about politics and politician, and have proved that they understood what they have been reading. ;-)

Du er på veldig dypt vann når du kaller Ratzinger en “slimål”, brandulph. Han er utvilsomt en av verdens mest beleste og mest reflekterte ledere. Jeg er ikke enig i alt han står for, men jeg er imponert over slagkraften den katolske kirken faktisk har. Dessuten viser Benedict XVI vilje til å bruke makten sin i en positiv retning. Agendaen hans er ikke i første rekke politisk, religiøs eller personlig, men medmenneskelig. Han representerer etter min mening alt som er godt og riktig ved den kristne troen.
