January is the month of early spring in Albir, with the the  first almond trees to be  seen in bloom.

In fact, there are a few  extreme trees who can be observed  blooming as early as mid December, for one reason or other... might be that they know, if blooming that early, they will have all the bees for themselves ?

Anyway, both January and February, is a most  beautiful time of the year, when dwellers of Albir make at least one trip to the large almond orchards in the surroundings, to enjoy the soothing pastel colours and "sweet" fragrance  of the almond bloom.
